Lisa Hanson, Violin
A native of Minnesota, Lisa started playing the violin in Bloomington, MN in the fifth grade and at the age of 13, won the Minnesota Music Teacher's Association contest and performed at that concert.
She's been active with in numerous quartets and small orchestras, including the Singing Christmas Tree. After moving to Oregon, Lisa studied with Carol Sindell and attended Clackamas High School, and then Portland State University. She played in the Portland State Opera and Symphony under the direction of Ken Selden, receiving her Bachelor of Music Education from Portland State University and in 2009 a Master's in Education/Instrumental Music from PSU.
For fun, she teaches Jazzercise, windsurfs on a lake board, boogie board at Cannon Beach, and plays in the Vancouver Symphony. |
