Rachel Anderson, Flute

Rachel Anderson has been Principal Flute of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra since 1993. She is also a regular member of the Portland Columbia Symphony, Portland Opera and Portland Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed with the Oregon Symphony, Eugene Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theater, and the Cascade Festival among others.

Rachel has been active in the behind-the-scenes arena, serving  as Orchestra/Personnel Manager for the Vancouver Symphony and Columbia Symphony and Operations Manager for the Portland Youth Philharmonic and Metropolitan Youth Symphony Associations.

Rachel graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor's degree in flute performance. She maintains a  private teaching studio in the Portland area.
