Sara Pyne, Violin

Sara Pyne has played the violin since age nine.  She studied privately with Robin Baldino, Raphael Spiro, and Carol Winters.  From 1999 to 2003 she played with the Portland Youth Philharmonic and joined them on their tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2000.  She has played with Portland's Columbia Symphony Orchestra since 2002 and joined The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in 2004.

Sara enjoys playing for weddings with her twin sister who is a pianist and performing with her sisters monthly at a local nursing home.  She loves spending time with her family, playing for worship and serving at her church, tole painting, violin teaching, transferring bowings for the Oregon Symphony and playing with PCSO and The VSO.
