Pre-Concert Talks
One hour before each symphonic concert, the VSO hosts a 30-minute educational pre-concert talk featuring a VSO musician and/or Maestro Brotons. They discuss the history of the music that will be performed and answer audience questions.
Pre-concert talks take place at 6 pm on Saturday symphonic performances and 2 pm on Sunday symphonic performances.
Community Outreach Concerts
The VSO hosts soloist and small ensemble performances at senior and adult living communities. These performances offer opportunities for social connections with other residents.
VSO Education Resources
We have a library of blogs and podcasts that share the history and background of composers and their works and highlight guest artists, VSO musicians, and conductors. We also produce short video interviews with musicians for social media.
