Students vie for over $5,000 in scholarship money and chance to perform with VSO.

Every season, one of the best-attended and most eagerly anticipated events is the
VSO Young Artists Competition and the performances of the three winners with the
orchestra at this season’s closing concerts on June 2nd & 3rd. These are joyous events
that celebrate the area’s incredible musical talent.

Following the initial judging of application CDs by select area musicians at 1:00 pm, the three top candidates in each category will compete February 11, 2018, in front of an audience at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vancouver for the scholarship prizes of $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place and $250 for third place.

First place finishers then perform their winning selections with Maestro Brotons and The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at our June 2nd & 3rd, 2018 concerts at Skyview Concert Hall.
