What is your favorite moment or memory from playing with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra?
Favorite moment was when we had guest conductor Federico Garcia Vigil from Uruguay conducting Tchaikovsky 6. He didn’t speak much English, and at one point in rehearsals, he shouted, “AMERICAN BRASS!" Then, at the concert when cutting off the last note of Tchaikovsky 6, instead signed the cross. WHOA. So awesome. Will never forget. Probably the single most memorable musical moment of my life.

If you could describe yourself in terms of a musical style or tempo (such as allegro, adagio, or presto), which would you choose and why? Alternatively, if you were a musical instrument, which one would you be?
Giocoso. Because I try to make things fun! If I were a musical instrument? C’mon…trumpet. Brash, bold, loud, (can be sweet if I want) and attention seeking. Sorry not sorry.
