Astral Mixtape - Educational Ensemble In-Residence
Prior to each Main Stage performance and during the intermissions there will be a performance by Astral Mixtape, the educational ensemble in residence sponsored by The Kuni Foundation. Astral Mixtape is known for their unique combination of the spectacle of pop, the spontaneity of jazz, and the experimentation of contemporary music.

The VSO's highly popular silent film concert, now under the stars! Score Compiler Rodney Sauer and VSO soloists provide live accompaniment for comedy legend Buster Keaton's riotous "Sherlock, Jr." on the parade grounds lawn. Bring a blanket and some popcorn!

Known for his portrayal of D’Angelo Barksdale on the HBO drama series The Wire, a role which earned him much critical acclaim, and for his role as Bob Stookey in the AMC horror drama The Walking Dead, Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. will share his experiences working on primetime television and in Hollywood.
